EPD WCO Administrative Registration Scheme

• The EPD launched a free WCO Recycling Administrative Registration Scheme in mid-February 2016 to register local eligible WCO collectors, processors and exporters. The EPD assesses whether the applicants have adequate capability to comply with the requirements stipulated in the Good Practice Guide issued by the EPD, including proper collection and handling of the collected WCO as well as maintaining good transaction records.
• Registered collectors can only deliver the collected UCO to EPD registered “WCO” processors, exporters or collectors
• Collector needs to bring with the certified true copy of certification issued by EPD in each collection and delivery of used cooking oil for people to recognize their registered identity. Collector needs to place a notice board in A4 size on remarkable place of trolleys or front window of trucks, which showed EPD REGISTERED “WASTE COOKING OILS”COLLECTOR, Name of collector, EPD Registration number and expiry date.
